Privacy Policy
This policy explains what information the Selfera: Habit Tracker mobile app collects, how it is used, and your rights.
1. Who we are
Selfera: Habit Tracker ("Selfera", "the app") is an identity-based habit tracking application designed and published by Sera Dilara Ceylan, a Certified Co-Active Coach (CTI Level 2) operating from Türkiye.
She is the data controller for any personal information processed in connection with Selfera. For privacy or legal questions, contact details are available through the App Store listing.
2. The principle: your data stays yours
Selfera is built on a simple principle: your identities, micro-actions, check-ins, and reflections belong to you and stay on your device. We do not run user accounts, we do not host your content on our servers, and we do not synchronize your data across devices.
If you uninstall the app, the data is deleted with it. We cannot recover it for you because we never had a copy.
3. What stays on your device
All of the following live exclusively in your device's local storage. We never read or transmit them:
- The identities you have selected from the library or written yourself
- The micro-actions and reflective prompts attached to each identity
- Your daily check-ins (which actions you ticked, your 0–10 closeness rating, your written reflection)
- Your reminder preferences (morning, evening, custom time, or off)
- Your app lock setting (Face ID / Touch ID / PIN)
- Your language preference (EN / TR)
4. What leaves your device
Three categories of information may leave your device, and each is limited to the minimum required for a specific feature to work:
4.1 Subscription verification (RevenueCat + Apple)
When you subscribe to Selfera Pro, the in-app purchase is processed by Apple's StoreKit. RevenueCat, our subscription infrastructure provider, receives an anonymous identifier from Apple to confirm your purchase and entitlement status. RevenueCat does not receive your name, email, identities, check-ins, or reflections. RevenueCat's privacy policy is available at revenuecat.com/privacy.
4.2 Local notifications
Daily reminders are scheduled and delivered locally by iOS. They never leave your device. We do not see when or whether you check them.
4.3 Crash diagnostics (Apple)
If the app crashes, Apple may send anonymous diagnostic information to its own servers — and to us if you have opted in via iOS Settings → Privacy & Security → Analytics. This is Apple's standard diagnostic stream. You can disable it at any time in iOS Settings.
5. What we do NOT collect
Selfera does not collect any of the following:
- Your name, email address, phone number, or any account credentials (we do not have accounts)
- Advertising identifiers (IDFA / IDFV)
- Location, GPS, or motion sensors
- Camera, microphone, contacts, calendars, or photos
- Health, fitness, or medical data from Apple Health or HealthKit
- Behavioral tracking, third-party analytics SDKs, or marketing attribution data
6. Children
Selfera is intended for users aged 13 and over. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children under 13. If you believe a child has been able to provide data through the app, please contact us so we can address it.
7. Your rights
Because your data lives on your device, you control it directly:
- Export: Settings → App → Export data writes a JSON file you can share or save
- Delete identities or check-ins from within the app at any time
- Delete everything: uninstall the app — local data is wiped
- Cancel subscription: through Apple ID → Subscriptions in iOS Settings
Under GDPR and similar laws, you have the right to access, correct, delete, port, and restrict processing of your personal data. Because we do not store your reflections on our servers, the app itself is the primary mechanism for exercising these rights.
8. Legal basis
Where GDPR applies, the legal basis for the limited processing described above is:
- Performance of a contract (delivering the app and Pro features)
- Legitimate interest (basic crash diagnostics for app stability, where you have opted in)
- Consent (any optional analytics opt-in)
9. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy when we add features or when laws change. The latest version is always available inside the app under Settings → Legal → Privacy Policy, and on our public legal page.
10. Contact
For privacy or legal questions, contact details are available through the App Store listing.
